Luna Hora

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This policy explains how information is used in Luna Hora’s phone apps, Apple Watch app, widgets and these web pages, and in support correspondence. Luna Hora does not create a separate user account: there is no in-app sign-up or login. The Apple or Google account used for a purchase belongs to the relevant store.

How information is obtained and why it is used

Information is obtained from your choices in the app, device services you permit, electronic responses from store and advertising services, technical requests sent to the website, and emails you send us. Each item is used only to provide the relevant feature, respond to your request, or meet the security purposes described below.

Processing activities and legal grounds
ActivityPurpose and legal ground
Local preferences, calculations, notifications and Premium accessProviding the app service you request; processing necessary to enter into or perform a service contract (Article 5(2)(c) of Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law, KVKK).
Technical support and purchase questionsResolving requests about your service (Article 5(2)(c)); our legitimate interest in service-related communication to answer general feedback and suggestions, without harming your rights (Article 5(2)(f)).
Website security and abuse preventionKeeping the service secure; legitimate interests limited to necessary and proportionate technical records (Article 5(2)(f)).
Privacy requests and dispute recordsOur legal obligation to respond to requests (Article 5(2)(ç)); records necessary to protect a right (Article 5(2)(e)).
Optional usage statistics and crash reportsUnderstanding usage and investigating technical problems; your separate explicit consent for each purpose (Article 5(1)). Both choices are off initially and can be withdrawn in the app settings.
Consent-based ad personalisation and trackingThe explicit consent required for the relevant processing (Article 5(1)). Consent-based choices can be changed through ad privacy and device controls.

An operating-system permission is not the same as explicit consent under data protection law. This policy is not a request for consent. Independent service providers’ own processing is governed by their linked privacy notices and the choices they offer.

Information stored in the app

Your selected city and coordinates, time zone, language, appearance and text-size preferences, notification choices, usage-statistics and crash-report choices, and watch/widget settings are stored on your device. Planetary hours, Moon information and calculations for your selected dates are computed on the device using this information.

To show a search unlocked through a rewarded ad without asking you to watch the ad again, the device stores an access record matching the search topic, date range, location and time zone. This is not a cloud archive linked to an app account. The support ID shown in Settings identifies an app installation; it is not your name or email address.

Location and city search

On first launch, the app asks for your device’s location permission to determine a location for calculations. You can later update it using “Detect my location again”. You do not have to grant permission: you can also choose a city manually. Luna Hora does not continuously track your location in the background; it uses your selected location for subsequent calculations.

When you search for a city, the search text may be processed by the operating system’s location/address services; when a place name is determined from your location, the coordinates may be processed by those services. iPhone uses Apple’s MapKit or Core Location services; Android uses the device’s Geocoder service. These operations may require a network connection. Computing on the device does not mean that these supporting services process no data.

You can change location permission in your phone’s app-permission settings. Withdrawing permission does not automatically delete a previously selected city; you can choose another city in the app settings. Location coordinates are not added to the app’s advertising requests as targeting information.

Free use and advertising

Free use may include in-app ad placements, frequency-capped app-open ads and rewarded ads for optional search access. Opening the app from a notification is subject to the same app-open ad frequency limits. To enforce those limits, the device stores the number of launches, the time of the last ad and the daily impression count.

The free phone app uses Google Mobile Ads. The advertising service may process an IP address and the approximate location derived from it, ad impressions and interactions, app/SDK performance and error information, and device or advertising identifiers. Its purposes are ad delivery, measurement and abuse prevention. The information processed may vary by platform, permissions, region and advertising choices.

Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for and records your ad privacy choices. You can reopen those choices through the “Ad privacy” option provided in the app. Device advertising and tracking permissions are managed separately in operating-system settings. Declining personalisation does not mean that all technical processing needed to deliver ads stops. Google’s processing is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Luna Hora does not show ads while you have valid Premium access. No ads are shown on Apple Watch or in widgets. Buying Premium does not automatically delete information previously processed by an advertising service.

Optional usage statistics and crash reports

Settings → Usage and crash reports contains two separate sharing choices. Both are off initially. If you had no recorded choice in a previous version, the new choices are off. Enabling one does not enable the other. Location or notification permission, ad privacy choices and Premium subscriptions are separate from these choices. Declining to share does not change the app’s features or price.

If you enable usage statistics, Google Analytics measures events such as sections viewed, navigation through content, purchase and restore outcomes, notification-preference changes, observable permission status, notification-scheduling results and opening the app by tapping a notification. Events added by the app are limited to predefined section, type, outcome and subscription-period values, and notification-plan counts. These do not prove that a notification was delivered or read, and they do not represent every user’s behaviour.

Analytics may also process an app-instance identifier, session/app-lifecycle information, and device/app attributes. For purchase and subscription events supported by the platform, the SDK may measure information such as product ID, product name and price. A card number or store password is not included in this measurement. Analytics may derive an approximate region from an IP address; this is not the city or GPS coordinates you selected for calculations.

If you enable crash reports, Firebase Crashlytics may process the technical call stack at the time of a crash, related app state, device model, operating-system and app versions, and installation/session identifiers. Technical errors additionally reported by the app use predefined error codes; free-form error text is not added. If both sharing choices are enabled, permitted usage events may also appear in records that help explain the steps leading up to a crash.

We do not add search or support text, your selected city and coordinates, the date you are viewing, your support ID, email address or purchase evidence to the app’s custom statistics events or additional crash fields. We do not assign a separate analytics user ID. However, because these services use their own installation and app-instance identifiers, we do not describe these records as fully anonymous. Advertising-ID collection and ad personalisation are disabled for Analytics; data processing by ads shown during free use is explained separately in the advertising section above.

You can turn the choices off on the same settings page. When a choice is turned off, the app does not start new submissions within that scope. Turning off usage statistics resets local analytics data; turning off crash reports requests deletion of unsent crash reports. A transfer already started may finish; records that have reached the provider are not automatically deleted by this action. Re-enabling a choice does not mean we retrospectively measure usage events that occurred while sharing was off.

Purchase information

Payments on iPhone are handled by the Apple App Store; payments on Android are handled by Google Play. You do not enter your card number or store-account password into Luna Hora. To determine Premium access, the app processes purchase information supplied by the store, such as product and subscription status, expiry, refunds and cancellations. A copy of valid access may be stored on the device for offline use and watch/widget access.

When you verify a Premium purchase or restore on Android, the purchase evidence issued by Google Play, app and product identifiers, and an identifier specific to that request are sent to Luna Hora’s verification service. Our service checks the subscription status with Google Play and, where necessary, acknowledges the purchase to Google Play. This operation requires an internet connection.

Raw purchase evidence is used during processing; it is not written to the permanent purchase record or the service’s processing log. The permanent record contains a hash of that evidence, the last verification time and information indicating whether another purchase has replaced it. A previous record copy is also retained for recovery. These records do not contain your name, email address or card details, but are not anonymous because they can still be associated with a purchase.

Apple and Google process payment and account information under their own policies: the Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. Deleting information within the app does not delete store payment records or a subscription.

Apple Watch, widgets and notifications

Calculation results, the selected location/time zone, appearance preferences and Premium access needed by widgets are transferred to the app’s shared on-device storage. Required data and access information are sent to a paired Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity connection. A watch or Home Screen may show this information to people around you; you can manage its visibility in your device settings.

Notification choices for planetary hours, Moon phases, new and full moon events, the Moon’s entry into your selected zodiac signs, and the start of void-of-course periods are free. Moon-phase notifications are selected separately from notifications about the exact new or full moon event. An applicable new or full moon notification may also include the eclipse type. Notification choices are stored on the device; schedules are calculated on the phone and registered with the operating system. You can manage notification permission and Lock Screen visibility in your phone settings. Notifications in this version are not sent from a central Luna Hora notification server.

Web pages

To operate and secure the web pages, access and error logs record the IP address, visit time, requested page, response status and technical information sent by the browser.

The purchase-verification endpoint is separate from these web pages. An IP address is processed by the network service when a connection is established, but access logging is disabled for the verification route and the client IP is not added to the purchase record. The verification service’s processing log contains only the verification outcome, errors or service-operation event types; it does not contain purchase evidence or request contents.

Who receives information and where it is processed

The web pages, purchase-verification service and associated records are processed on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany; support emails and delivery information are processed on Purelymail infrastructure in the United States. See the Purelymail Privacy Policy for details about the email service.

Apple and Google provide the store, location and device services described above. Google also provides advertising, Google Analytics usage measurement and Firebase Crashlytics crash-investigation services. These providers may process data in countries described in their linked policies. Google services and subprocessors involved in Analytics and Firebase may process data outside Türkiye; we do not promise storage exclusively in Türkiye or exclusively in Europe. Details are available in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. Relevant records are shared with competent authorities when legally required.

When you contact support

We use emails sent to lunahora@MineCodeCraft.com, your address and attachments you share to respond to your request. The in-app contact form prepares an email draft containing your selected topic and section, message, app name/version, operating system, support ID, language and time zone. Your city and coordinates are not added automatically. You can review the information to be sent, and you send the email yourself through your own email account. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Local preferences, the support ID, calculation caches, notification schedules and rewarded-search access records are kept in app data on the device. Data needed by the watch and widgets may also exist in shared on-device storage or on the paired watch. Copies of previous local records may be retained to migrate settings or recover a damaged record. Time-limited Premium records are updated according to store status.

This version has no in-app option that deletes all records in one action. Changing a preference or turning off location permission does not delete all old records and caches. You can use your device’s app-storage controls to remove local data:

Deleting data on a phone does not automatically delete records on a paired Apple Watch or in earlier device backups. The watch app and backups are managed separately through the relevant device and backup-service controls. Removing a widget from the Home Screen does not delete all data in the phone app.

Clearing local data may remove your settings and search records unlocked through rewarded ads. Restoring a valid Premium subscription with the same store account does not restore these local search records. Deleting data or the app does not cancel a subscription; use the subscription-management steps in the Terms of Use to cancel. You can turn notifications off in Luna Hora’s settings and separately change permission in operating-system settings.

Deleting the app or local data does not automatically delete purchase-verification records on the server or previous copies of those records. You can make requests about these records using the privacy-request process below.

Turning off statistics and crash-report choices does not automatically delete existing records held by Google. Analytics event/user records follow the retention settings configured in that service; aggregated reports have a different scope. Crashlytics retention and deletion follow Google’s service-specific information. You can submit requests about these data through the process below; turning off a setting alone does not mean every server and backup copy is immediately deleted.

Support correspondence and attachments are deleted one year after the request is closed. If a dispute remains open or a legal obligation applies, only the necessary records are retained for as long as that reason continues. Deletion from a provider’s technical backups follows its own retention schedule.

Web access and error logs are archived weekly. The current file and the last four archives are retained; older archives are deleted.

Your rights and requests

Under the KVKK, you may ask us whether your data are processed, for what purposes and to which recipients they are transferred. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records and deletion or destruction when the legal conditions are met. You may also request that these actions be communicated to recipients of the data. You have the right to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis and to seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Email lunahora@MineCodeCraft.com with the subject “Luna Hora Privacy Request”, or write to the postal address above. Please state your request, contact details for a reply and the relevant Luna Hora service. If identity verification is necessary, we ask only for additional information proportionate to the request. We do not ask for a password or payment-card details.

We respond within 30 days at the latest. Processing is normally free; where legislation permits a charge for additional costs, the applicable tariff may be used. Your right to complain to Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Board following the outcome of a request is reserved. Requests about Apple’s or Google’s own records can also be made through the relevant service’s privacy controls.

Security and changes

The app uses protected device storage and platform services. Advertising and store connections use the relevant providers’ secure connections. No method of storage on a device or the internet guarantees absolute security.

We update this policy when data use changes. Processing that requires a new permission or consent does not begin merely because this text changes; the necessary notice and permission flow are provided separately.
